For instance, green foods contain vitamin C and beta-carotene, which are antioxidants that can help prevent cancer. Dark green foods, such as kale, are rich in calcium. Tomatoes are famous for an antioxidant known as lycopene, which cuts the incidence of stomach and colon cancer and lung disease. While orange foods contain a fair helping of vitamin C and beta-carotene, yellow food such as corn contains a healthy dose of fiber and iron. If you eat a rainbow of foods, you are likely to consume a variety of nutrients. Making your meal palette more colorful will pay handsome dividends, improving your overall health and helping you to lose weight. Even if you can't ban beige foods from your diet altogether, by reducing your intake of colorless food and by following this free diet plan, you'll be well on your way to dieting success.
